For a brand that works as hard as you do.

For a brand that works as hard as you do.

House Style Co. builds brand systems and toolkits for Boise and Treasure Valley nonprofits. We strengthen what you already have and close the gaps we find. You get working files and trained staff, not an ongoing dependency.

THE PROBLEM

It isn’t a creativity problem. It’s a systems problem.

It isn’t a creativity problem. It’s a systems problem.

Everything looks like it came from four different organizations.

Every flyer, appeal, and report gets rebuilt from scratch (or contains errors from the previous version).

The one person who knows how to make things is the person with no time.

When people leave, the knowledge leaves with them.

Your materials undersell the effort put forth.

WHAT WE BUILD

The working materials, made to last.

The working materials, made to last.

TAB 01, BRANDING.

Identity, sharpened.

Identity, sharpened.

Not a full rebrand. We assess what exists, strengthen what works, and build what's missing: logo files, color palette, type, photography direction, and the usage rules that hold it together.

TAB 02, STRATEGY.

A plan you can act on, and the money to do it.

A plan you can act on, and the money to do it.

IN DEVELOPMENT. Spend your time where it pays off. Grantmaker research, a funding path memo, content cadence by channel, and press opportunities.

TAB 03, FRAMEWORKS AND TOOLS.

The things your staff actually use.

The things your staff actually use.

Template libraries, donor database cleanup, file structures people can navigate, and AI prompt libraries built for your actual recurring writing. Documented and handed off, with staff trained to run it.

TAB 04, EVENTS AND CAMPAIGNS.

There when it counts.

There when it counts.

We help with the concept and the communication: planning, preparing, and managing a specific event or campaign. After, we debrief what worked and what didn't, so you keep getting better.

Engagements are scoped and priced up front, with a defined end date.

HOW IT WORKS

01

Listen. We talk to directors, managers, volunteers, and supporters before we propose anything. What we build comes from what we heard.

02

Build. Identity, messaging, templates, systems, and tools, assembled as one connected set rather than a pile of files.

03

Train. Your staff learn to run it, with a named internal owner recorded by role as well as by person, so the role survives personnel changes.

04

Hand over. You keep everything. It works without us and it survives turnover.

05

Stabilize. For 30 days after handover, we correct minor template problems and adjust written rules at no additional cost.

HOW IT GETS FUNDED

This does not have to come out of your operating budget.

This does not have to come out of your operating budget.

Capacity building grants exist to pay for exactly this kind of work: an investment in the organization itself rather than in a campaign. Every engagement supplies itemized budget lines a grantmaker expects to see, scope language describing what is built and what you hold at the end, and a short outcomes paragraph tying the install to organizational capacity. You bring it to your program officer already in their language.

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT

Work you can use after we leave.

Work you can use after we leave.

We build, we do not just advise.

Most consultants deliver a plan and a presentation. We deliver the working materials your team uses on a Tuesday afternoon.

Fixed scope, defined end date.

You will know what it costs and when it ends before we start. No open-ended retainers.

Thirty days of stabilization, written into every contract.

The week after a consultant leaves is when systems break. For 30+ calendar days after handover, template problems, broken fields, errors in delivered materials, and questions from your internal owner are covered.

Built to be handed over.

The work is finished when a new hire who has never spoken to us can open it and use it correctly on their first day. That means written rules stored with the files, template locks set, a named internal owner, and an offboarding and onboarding checklist for that owner.

WHERE THE METHOD CAME FROM

Built inside the same constraints you have.

Built inside the same constraints you have.

House Style Co. was founded by Lindsey Owen after 17 years building marketing functions inside organizations where marketing was a cost center that had to justify itself, most recently as Director of Marketing for a 300 person engineering, environmental, and construction firm. That work was never about campaigns. It was about building systems that let a small team produce work that looked like it came from a much larger one. House Style Co. does that for organizations that need it most and can afford it least.
